A Strange Weekend Indeed…

I don’t know what to make of this weekend. On a personal level days went by, plans were made, events went down and it was like any other weekend. Beyond my life, this weekend went on some completely other shit. For me, the passing of two very special and important people in the many histories of man kind comes as a complete shock and I will not know how to feel until things settle. The true meaning of this will show itself sometime. Hopefuly it is something good it the grand scheme of things. Until then, I send my best wishes and hopes and energies to those who were closest to these two incredible men. I hope that they are doing well on the other side of things. Live in peace Bernie and Isaac

NOT FOR THE WEAK

This book sounds incredible and i can’t wait for the torture! just playing..great marketing concept for it; really makes you rethink shit

courtesy of The Gargoyle

An extraordinary debut novel of love that survives the fires of hell and transcends the boundaries of time.

The narrator of The Gargoyle is a very contemporary cynic, physically beautiful and sexually adept, who dwells in the moral vacuum that is modern life. As the book opens, he is driving along a dark road when he is distracted by what seems to be a flight of arrows. He crashes into a ravine and suffers horrible burns over much of his body. As he recovers in a burn ward, undergoing the tortures of the damned, he awaits the day when he can leave the hospital and commit carefully planned suicide—for he is now a monster in appearance as well as in soul.

Words cannot explain what went down last night in Beijing, China. Thousands upon thousands of performers gave what will go down as one of the most incredible, sensational, fanciful, monumental group performances in human history. The videos will speak for themselves… Enjoy

Max Payne Is back…. The Movie!

I am not the gamer apart from my grade school days playing Nintendo all day long! When Max Payne the game came out I actually rushed out and got it, beat it and that was that. Its one of my all time favorite games (Im not a gamer… gotta let you know that again) and I am happy to see the adaptation of this game come to life in a movie. Mark Wahlberg will star as MAX PAYNE, Mila Kunis, The Wire’s Jamie Hector and Ludacris also star.. Hopefully this wont be a wack movie like the rest of the game adaptations.

another sad day in NYC

borrowed from the NYTIMES

So it began with a pressured invite to my GF to go to this place a couple of years ago; it never happened. Last week I came across a recorded NY1 interview with a french man by the name of Florent Morellet, who over 20 years ago, established a 24/7 dinner in the Meat Packing District catering to everyone. Today I unexpectedly ate there on the last day of it’s storied history. Unfortunately I am too young to tell you any substantial history of the place but I can tell you this; their strawberry jam was fucking slamming!  In any case I managed to take part in NYCities storied history today and for that I am thankful. Good luck to you Mr Morelet and everything you do. You will be missed. For his full story, read NYTime’s article, they are way better at it…..

Sorry man…I will try my dearest to not try and sell anything on this site. It’s always hard to do that because in this day and age anything and everything goes to the bidder (i won’t even say highest). It’s hard to keep going on in a culture that is caught up in shit that is so damn unnecessary it hurts. Another over priced, over hyped, over critical piece of consumer shit is upon us ladies and gentlemen. If you like the design simple because its visually cool , then more props to you. But if you like it because Marc Jacobs is friends with Murakami, then i hope you trip and fall when you try to check your next email on your Iphone..Suck it fuckers….Props to who cares on the pics..More power to you…..

I sat on this post for more than a week to really let the moment sink in. The first summerstage show was STUPENDOUS! Vampire Weekend played to a completely soaked crowd two last Saturday. The rain was falling madly on us. Thunder, Lighting, Haze, The Sun, Wet People, Beach Balls, Trees and Rocks, Good music was the recipe for one of the coolest experiences so far this year. Enjoy the pics courtesy of Brooklyn Vegan.
